Building Sustainable Support for Children’s Homes
The Tshwane Annual Charity Gala was created to address a critical but often overlooked gap in philanthropy: operational funding for children’s homes.
While donations of clothing, books, and food are invaluable, children’s homes also need cash flow to respond to emergencies, cover daily operational costs, and ensure consistent care for vulnerable children. Medical needs, transport, utilities, and unexpected expenses require immediate access to funds—something many homes struggle to maintain.
The annual charity gala focuses specifically on raising operational funds for selected children’s homes. Each year, PRIMM carefully selects a beneficiary and works with corporate partners, sponsors, and the public to raise meaningful financial support.
To date, the initiative has raised donations over R90,000 through corporate sponsorships and ticket sales, directly contributing to the sustainability and stability of the homes we support.
The event originally launched as the PRIMM Annual Charity Gala, but through a strategic media partnership with Tshwane FM, it was later rebranded to the Tshwane Annual Charity Gala, strengthening its reach and impact within the community.
More than just a fundraising event, the gala brings together businesses, creatives, community leaders, and supporters who share a commitment to protecting and uplifting children. It reflects PRIMM’s belief that sustainable impact comes from intentional giving, strategic partnerships, and community-driven solutions.
Through this initiative, we continue to advocate for smarter philanthropy—one that ensures children’s homes have the resources they need to care, protect, and nurture the children entrusted to them.
